Our guitar and keyboard students at our 2nd Online Zoom Concert in 2020

To all our families and students at Leaders of Rock

We made it!

Thank you so much for all of your support this year.

We’ve surpassed many challenges together, from online learning to returning face-to-face.

We will look back on 2020 as a year where we grow stronger together in our passion for music, and all the memories and lessons we learned during an unexpected year.

I personally want to thank each and every one of you for believing in our music lessons and our music teachers at Leaders of Rock. Also, to all those who have worked with us as teachers, Fabio, Noah and Evelyn, you have my utmost respect and trust, and I can’t thank you enough for all you’ve done for this learning community.

Together, we’ve kept the flame of music alive, whether it’s attending a guitar lesson, performing keyboard at an online concert or preparing to sing in front of others.

Well done!

We all deserve a well-earned rest and recovery during this Christmas break.

Our guitar, singing and keyboard students at our 1st Zoom Concert in November 2020

Updates:

  • Term 1 dates starts from Monday 25 January 2021 to Saturday 3 April 2021

  • Reports and videos of the November online concert will be posted shortly via email.

  • We are open for holiday lessons – Monday 11 January 2021 – a great way to get back into learning music before the term starts. Some students will also be contacted to have their make-up lessons before Term 1 2020. Please reply back to this email if you too would like to start earlier 

  • Expressions of interest are open for a Holiday Band Program – Saturday 16 January 2021 and Songwriting Program – Saturday 23 January 2021. These are just one-day programs where you work with our teachers on rehearsing 2-3 songs with other like minded musicians (Band) and learn some technology and tools to write 1 song (Songwriting). Please reply back to this email if you’d like to know more about this 

  • Online and face to face lessons are both available in 2021 and beyond. I’ll assume everyone is going face to face in the studio, but please let me know if you prefer the online format for Term 1 2020 and beyond.

We wish you all a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

How To Stay Motivated with Music [Warning: Tough Love]

This article is for you if you are a parent or student is looking for specific strategies to stay with your instrument. You may be in ‘music lessons limbo’, and wonder ‘what’s next’.

How Much Should You Practice?

Practice does not make perfect, especially when learning music.
