Justin Wong Founder - Guitar - Piano

Justin has been teaching music for eight years and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Teaching. He is a primary school Performing Arts Teacher and the Founder of Music Teachers Melbourne, the largest social network of music teachers in Melbourne. During university, Justin pursued his touring, recording, and performing career as the lead guitarist in the rock band Rejuvenate and as a singer/guitarist in the heavy metal band Tides Collide.

Justin specialises in electric and acoustic guitar lessons, mainly using the new AMEB Rockschool Curriculum. He is dedicated to helping young people find their own musical voice.

Ned Dempsey - Guitar - Drums

Ned is a young and diverse musician currently studying a Bachelor of Music Performance in Contemporary guitar at The University of Melbourne. With valuable performance and teaching experience, he is eager to share his knowledge with students of all ages. Ned's unique understanding of learners of all ages allows him to guide them through exams and casual musical interests.

Availability: Tuesdays, Wednesdays

Oliver Midson - Drums - Guitar

Oliver is a 26 year old musician from Vermont, and has been actively playing music for over 15 years. He graduated from RMIT University in 2018 with a Bachelor of Arts: Music Industry, and has spent the last five years working as a private music tutor at over 10 primary schools around Melbourne. He participated in the 2014 and 2015 iterations of the Victorian State Schools Spectacular as a percussionist and puppeteer, and actively continues to work in the performing arts as an actor and filmmaker. He currently plays the drums for local Metalcore band Earthbound and recently performed in Escapees Theatre Company’s production of Jonathan Larson’s “Rent”.

Jacob Lee - Guitar

Jacob is a high school student and junior guitar teacher. He has completed AMEB Rockschool guitar at both grade 3 and 5 with distinctions in both exams. He was awarded second place in the Victorian Schools Instrumental Championships Junior Secondary Division (2024). Other than guitar, Jacob also has deep interests in singing, songwriting and performing. He has performed at family festivals, open mics and other shows in a variety of genres with Leaders of Rock, a jazz band and in his own musical projects and groups. Jacob enjoys teaching others music and helping them find their own passion in playing it.

Ekansh Goel - Guitar

Ekansh (Eki) is a young guitarist and junior guitar teacher. He has been playing since 2017 and is completing AMEB Grade 5 studies. Between 2021 and 2024, he performed regularly as part of a Guitar Ensemble and has also appeared in numerous concerts—both as a soloist with Leaders of Rock and in local band performances with friends.

Eki believes that music is not only a creative outlet but also a powerful confidence builder. While new to teaching, he is eager to share his love of guitar with students of all ages and help them discover the joy of learning an instrument.
