Our Response to COVID-19 - Music Lessons Term 2 2020 and beyond

Music Lessons Templestowe Lower

To the community of Leaders of Rock,

In the wake of COVID-19, we would first like to acknowledge the impact this pandemic has had on everyone’s daily lives.

Our thoughts and prayers are with every single person during this period of uncertainty.

As a commitment to you, we have created a five-point action plan of what our music school intends to deliver in the foreseeable future.

  1. Term 1 music lessons will continue to resume until Saturday 28 March 2020. We strive to maintain a safe and healthy environment for everyone to learn music.

  2. Anyone who cites a medical reason or self-isolation for their absence of music lessons is entitled a free make-up lesson effectively immediately until Monday 13 April 2020. We want to be there for you, so the 48-hour cancellation policy is void during this period. For more information on self-isolation, please visit this government website.

  3. Throughout the Term 1 holidays (Sunday 29 March – Sunday 12 April 2020), staff are offering online music lessons via Skype. Every student is entitled to 2 free Skype lessons to test this learning format. Please visit this link if you would like to know more.

  4. Term 2 music lessons will start on Monday 13 April to Saturday 27 June 2020, spanning 11 weeks. Music lessons are offered in two formats of choice: face-to-face or Skype.

  5. At this stage, our Mid-Year Performance in June 2020 will go ahead. We believe everyone should celebrate what they have learned in front of others. Suitable venue and dates will be researched and reviewed on an ongoing basis.

We will be here to support you in any way possible.

Wishing you the best of health,

Team Rock
